About me
I'm Holly

Hi again! I'm Holly. I live in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire and grew up in Ware (cue the jokes, Where’s ware?)
I’ve always been a bit of a wafter, and by that I mean my attention span is fairly pathetic, yet give me a creative task and I’m hooked for hours. I guess that’s what lead me into Hair and Makeup.
I started off, like many makeup artists, focusing on a specific interest and for me it was special effects! My Dad is a local GP and my Mum was an A&E nurse, so maybe that naturally lodged itself in my brain as a mixture of being creative and medical, without the real life gore as I’m actually quite squeamish!
Fast forward to being qualified and testing out the different aspects of the industry, I came across weddings by doing a friend of a friend. I loved it! Having always been a true romance fanatic I love nothing more than watching a girly chick flick or reading a romance novel. I’m a big fan of valentine's day (even though my husband thinks it's a load of rubbish!) So anywhere I can get my romance kicks works for me! Enter weddings!
The fact that I love romance so much, means I really tap into your emotional side and how I want my services to feel, not just look. When you book me, I want to know what’s important to you, how you want to feel on your wedding day, how you want your partner to feel when they look at you. Once we’ve figured that out, then we get to the fun part of seeing what inspires you and what will suit you. Will you go for an updo or down with soft waves? Will you keep it natural or add a bold lip? We can work it out together.
When it comes to the physical side of hair and makeup, to make sure I stay up to date with current trends and styles, I enjoy regularly topping up my skills and have done so many times over the years. By doing this I am always able to create fresh, timeless and classic looks with a modern twist. I use top quality products tried and tested by other artists so I get the best, honest reviews. Knowing that what I use really works and lasts.
For a bit of fun, and to get to know each other that little bit more, I’ve listed my 5 loves and hates. I can’t wait to hear yours!
