A little history about me…
When I first decided I wanted to be a makeup artist, it was actually special effects I was interested in, completely different to weddings I’m sure you’d agree! But during the first part of my course, I had to start with the basics, and work through all aspects of hair and makeup. This included the history of makeup and it’s influences in beauty and fashion and I actually fell in love with that side of it.
This wasn’t so much because I enjoyed using “pretty” makeup instead, but because I loved transforming people in a more natural way and enhancing their natural beauty. The opposite of special effects, where you completely change the way someone looks! I learnt to boost my clients confidence and help bring out the best version of them on their important day.
I would never throw on every product on the market to cover up and change every aspect of your face. I use colours, textures and tones to compliment every aspect of your face - I feel there's a big difference.
I have always enjoyed topping up my skills over the years and have recently added bridal portraits which give me the opportunity to capture my brides in the best way for me to showcase my skills. I'll even share the beautiful images with you!
