Finding the right shampoo can completely change how your hair behaves. Whether you’re styling it every day or preparing for your wedding morning. Healthy, balanced hair is the best base for any look, and the right formula makes all the difference. When your hairdresser recommends a salon worthy brand? She's doing you a huge favour! Why buy a cashmere jumper and wash it in fairy liquid!?
Here are some of my favourites for each hair type:
💧 Oily Hair — Paul Mitchell Tea Tree special shampoo
This refreshing, deep‑cleansing shampoo removes excess oil and product build‑up without being harsh. The blend of tea tree, peppermint, and lavender leaves your scalp fresh and balanced with weightless volume for styling, and it smells AMAZING👉 take a look here
🌿 Fine hair — Aveda Pure Abundance volumizing shampoo
A gentle boost for finer hair that needs a bit of oomph and life. Plant‑based ingredients like passion fruit and acacia gum help create volume at the roots while keeping your hair light, shiny, and easy to style without feeling weighed down.

🌸 Thick or frizzy hair — Pureology smooth perfection shampoo
If your hair is coarse, unruly or tends to frizz, this sulphate‑free formula smooths texture without flattening natural movement. Leaves hair glossy, soft, and easy to manage — perfect for silky blow‑dries or sleek waves.👉 View here
🌾 Dry or damaged hair — Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo
This salon hero (and one of my favourites) is incredible for restoring strength and softness to brittle, coloured, or heat‑stressed hair (I think I have all of the above!). With citric acid and bond‑building technology, it gently repairs and nourishes while improving shine and elasticity.👉 check it out here
There you have it, my top shampoos for every hair type. You can thank me later! Also, if you have a mixture of hair types like me (oily and damaged!) you can mix and match. Go one type for most of your washes, then something more hydrating or cleansing once a week!
